Welcome to the team! Practice begins on Monday May 11th, and we have several key events—including suit fittings, approaching quickly. Please see below for important details regarding the practice schedule, volunteer needs, and upcoming meetings.

We are excited to get the swimmers in the water! We have received several questions regarding the practice schedule. Please note that while the Swimtopia Website contains the full practice calendar within the drop down menu, the Swimtopia Mobile App only populates meet dates.

Upcoming Key Dates
Please mark your calendars for our upcoming suit fittings and the first few weeks of the season at the outdoor pooldeck. Virginia Swim Shop will be on site. We will also hold parent meetings for both new and returning families.

Volunteer Opportunities & Training
A successful swim season is only possible with the help of our amazing volunteers. We will soon be opening up volunteer sign-ups for our meets within Swimtopia.

We specifically need parents to step up for specialized "Official" roles that require a bit more technical knowledge. We are currently waiting on the league to finalize training dates and locations for these positions. • Computer Operators select yes when prompted about Meet Maestro then select a date and time.
• Strokes & Turns, Starters and Referees select No for Meet Maestro and Yes for Wet Deck then select a date and time

There are additional videos RMAL recommends watching that are listed in the header of the form. Once registering, you will receive a copy of the form that you can reference back to. It also includes the videos so you can watch them before your training session.

Parent Handbook & Information
We are currently finalizing the 2026 Parent Handbook, which will include the full meet schedule, "fun practice" details, team traditions, and helpful . We will distribute this digitally next week.
